This beautiful designer reproduction Kubus
range features hardwood frame
with protected aniline-dyed Italian
leather. This chair features Hoffman's
trademark cubist designs - classic box
stitched squares - that made this
chair a world classic.
This model was designed for an exhibition in Buenos Aires and reflects
perfectly the author's mode of architecture ironically called "Quadratstil".
It was baptised "Kubus" in regard of
his rigid cubic space. Hoffmann
designed it in Vienna during a period
that the cubism was much expressed
in design.
Materials:
Foam upholstery on hardwood frame. Seat and back rest made of individual
eather squares.
Solid stained-beech legs on brass hemispheres. Leather cover.
