The Aluminium group chair range was first manufactured by Herman Miller in America, who later granted four manufacturers a license to produce in Europe.

The four original companies were Vitra in Germany, Hille in the UK, ICF in Italy, and Mobilier International in France, of which only Vitra still retains a license today to manufacture for the European market, having been given an exclusive license in 1984.

This is an ICF chair, swivels but not adjustable, black leather, wheels, aluminum arm rests with a nice patina.

Herman Miller Soft Screen

Lightweight, freestanding, and portable, the soft screen is a sinuous, beautiful way to divide space or have a little privacy when you need it. Like a curtain that somehow manages to stand upright.

Designed without a frame, for a light aesthetic, the screen is nevertheless stable, strong, and rigid. But it looks delicate, thanks to the translucent panels—cool white or spun gold—that allow light to filter through.

The soft screen is 63 inches high and unfolds to six feet.       9/10
