Womb Chair Reproduction- Eero Saarinen

Eero Saarinen designed with the human form in mind as the end user of the furniture. Sounds simple but many designers prefer aesthetics to functionality.

The Womb chair envelops the persons and creates a safe and comfortable place to curl up and relax.

It is made of a moulded fibre glass seat shell, supported on a bent tubular frame with nylon swivel glides. It is upholstered in a boucle fabric and has loose latex foam cushions for increased comfort.

It's organic form is representative of the mid century Scandinavian modernism style of furniture using synthetic materials to create organically inspired forms.

 

'Swan Chair' by Arne Jacobsen

Our "Swan Chair" is an identical reproduction of the Arne Jacobson Swan Chair.

Inspired by the works of Charles and Ray Eames, Arne Jacobsen is considered one of the most influential furniture designers of the last century.

Inspired by the works of Charles and Ray Eames, Arne Jacobsen is considered one of the most influential furniture designers of the last century.

His Egg Chair, designed in 1956 is perhaps the single-most recognizable icon of 20th century interior design. True to the original, this quality reproduction has a molded fiberglass frame.

Improvements include a fire retardant polyurethane foam and suede upholstery or leather.
